It's so good to finally have Mongolian bbq here at valley fair! Well the selection of meats and even vegetables are a little limited compared to Gengis Khan in great mall or great khans in eastridge. Mong Q can undercut their prices by $2 with their "regular" sized bowls look like the same size that you get at the those places for $17 or $18. Of course there's a large sized bowl that is $18 on par with Gengis Khan. Just like Genghis Khan as well, you can select your meat and vegetables on your included plate first and fill up however much you like. Once you get over to the cashier then you can pay and then once it gets to the chefs, they'll add in the noodles for you. I do notice if you do overfill it a little bit they usually go one round to defrost the food first and put it back on your plate temporarily, and then you can recover a little bit what's spilled on your tray. However, over here, once they take your bowl and put it on the grill it's there forever so you got to make sure everything can get on the bowl the first time! Omg this place is good and at a great value for what u pay. Lots of items to choose from. A assortment of different sauce to mix in and the best part don't worry about adding noodles in there cause they do that for u at the end. All in all the best vaule in the food court for what u pay. While writing this if u go for the large that's enough to feed 2 grown adults. Come eat here you'll be glad you did.

Pretty good food spot in the food court. Compared to other Mongolian BBQ places, there is no lamb here and there is fewer topping variety. Sauces are a bit bland, so I usually add extra scoops. Good portion of food for the price.

Knowing the layout of this location had me scratching my head, like how are y'all going to fit a Mongolian BBQ place here. But after seeing it for myself, I understood how they engineered the space for optimal flow and I'm honestly impressed. Walk into line, you'll be asked either a Regular or Large Bowl and one of the workers will hand you your tray and bowl. Once you're in you're basically playing tetris and seeing how much you can fill into the bowl, start off with the meat as that will be your solid foundation which consist of 4 meats. Then you'll move onto your veggies and lastly to sauces. I opted for Sesame Oil, Garlic, Teriyaki Sauce, and some others I forgot. Then you'll pay at the counter before they cook it, which is where you'll also grab your choice of drink. They have a really nice system going on, 4 bowls are cooked on the spot in a clockwise rotation. First dumping it on and getting a nice sear to it. Followed by adding some water along with teriyaki sauce to give it flavor and not to burn while doing so, they add noodles as well. Mong Q is a Mongolian BBQ spot located on the second floor food court of Valley Fair, right near Din Tai Fung. The ordering process is fun and interactive: you fill a bowl with your favorite fresh ingredients, and then the chef cooks everything on a large iron grill right in front of you. Pricing is simple—they charge by the size of the bowl, so you can stack as many ingredients as you like for the same set price. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the food is tasty and satisfying. My only wish is that they offered a wider variety of ingredients and more noodle options to choose from. Overall, it’s a great place for a quick, customizable meal when you’re at the mall.
